Day two started late this afternoon. Chet went to play with his airplane friends, and Ginger took her time getting to town, so I removed wallpaper off my office ceiling and washed laundry.
When Chet got home about 4:30 we headed to Jewell and got to work pulling the slats off the walls in the living and dining rooms. Ginger showed up about 5:30 and we put her to work carrying trash out to the backyard.
Ginger did a great job hauling! She cleaned up the mess in the dining room that I created. She is now calling herself the apprentice.
While Ginger and I finished cleaning up, Chet got to work in the front bedroom removing carpet.
After cleaning up was finished (it is never finished), Ginger and I started tearing some of the trim and paneling off in the hall. The good thing is that the beautiful doors and the cabinet were safely hidden behind that ugly paneling!
I then moved into the front bedroom to help with the ceiling and paneling. Unfortunately I ripped the light fixture right off the ceiling. Electricity makes me nervous! Hot wires! By 7:30 we were all sweaty, dirty, and hungry, so we ran home for quick showers and headed out for some pizza on Chet. Thanks Chet! It was a successful day! More tomorrow!
